2026 QB Cayden Jones Live Oak

Local kid. I’ve posted before I attend all live oak games for my sister and previously posted standout Calvin Ursin.
I know it’s Live Oak, but they face some stiff competition in 5a. They defeated walker last night 38-31 and did lose to Haven and Dunham last week but still broke school records for passing yards and touchdowns putting up 42 points.
He’s listed at 5’11” on his twitter. Kid has a beautiful arm and can scramble. Very clean release.

Kid is a player.
Unfortunately, it seems to be mostly about measurables these days…
The kid that transferred to Hattiesburg couldn’t beat him out, yet had multiple D1 offers - I would assume mostly in 7 v 7, and combine measurables…
I hate it.
Also- Ursin was nonexistent last night, although Walker must of focused on him, as all the other receivers were wide open all game

He is absolutely a baller.
I believe Ursin had a touchdown catch.

Guess you missed where LSU offered and accepted from Peyton Houston who might be 5'11"

Nah I didn’t.

LSU doesn’t focus enough on “Play-ya’s”.
They look at stars, but stars don’t represent heart.

You know our current 2027 Qb is 5'10"?

Again… that’s the exception, not the rule.
How many sub 6ft qb’s are signing D1? I’d guess 5% or less

Although I see your point you’re trying to make, a 2027 kid still has inches to grow. He’s a sophomore in high school and at 5’10” that’s impressive measurables for a 16 year old. Plenty room to grow.

Pretty sure he’s a senior. And a 2027 is a junior, not a sophomore.
But yes,
He could grow
