They are still building at a pretty good pace and are selling homes at around 140-145 per sqft with not a problem. I think the casino will help not sure about Walmart. Heard something about a Target coming to that area but further down Burbank.

Don't worry about it. This will still be a neighborhood that will hold its value no matter what. Look at the location and tell me where else in BR you can get a brand new house for under $250,000 located 5 mins from the mall of la, perkins rowe, LSU etc.
Of course I have lived in the neighborhood since 2003 and am extremely please with the 50% increase in value that I've seen since buying!
