My camp does not have an exhaust fan in the kitchen. I'm thinking of getting a portable air purifier to remove cooking odors. The kitchen/living room area is 350 sq ft. Any recommendations will be appreciated. TIA

Not sure if the link will work since I have to pay for subscription but scroll down to see purifiers that work for 150 sq. ft. to 350 sq. ft.
Consumer Reports
I would also look at Costco and Sam's (if you're a member) since you can return them if you don't like them. I would be hesitant to buy from Amazon since returning it would be more of a hassle.

Alen air purifiers. The 35i with the smoke filter would be a good fit for this use case.

Thanks Sir and Will. I will look into that.

Not sure where i read that ionizers remove odors, but they actually don't.
Neither HEPA or ionizers remove odors. Now if you want to remove smoke from cooking I would get a HEPA because ozone is bad to breathe

Hmmm. Interesting. Thanks for the heads up.

If it a “camp”, the simple solution would be to rig up a kitchen hood vent during a work weekend.
Probably would cost the same if not less to do this opposed to an air purifier. The filters on the good air purifiers are pricey btw.

updated my post, ionizers don't actually remove odors either

Thanks for the idea, but I can't run an exhaust pipe into the attic or through the roof because: (1) the attic is fully sealed with closed-cell foam insulation, and (2) there is no access to the attic anyway. I've decided to buy an air purifier with 3 filters: washable pre-filter, then carbon particle filter, then a true HEPA filter.

Yeah, that's what I learned. The air purifier I bought doesn't have an ionizer.

Just bought a LeVoit 200s. Works well for one room. wifi compatible.
