Walter Tevis - Queen’s Gambit

Was actually looking up his book The Hustler, and saw that he also wrote The Queen’s Gambit and The Man Who Fell To Earth. Throw in The Color of Money (sequel to The Hustler) and it turns out this fella had a nice cinematic menagerie from his books. All had great actors and the stories were excellent…except maybe The Man Who Fell To Earth: I wasn’t crazy about that movie, from what I remember. Maybe something got lost in the translation to film.

Any fans of his writing? I ordered The Hustler, TCoM, and Queen’s Gambit today. I see he has several more sci-fi books, too.
