Anyone ever stayed around Lake Jocassee (SC)/Tallulah Gorge(GA) area

Thinking about spending a couple days there next summer. Thinking smokies for 5 days, Asheville for a day or two and then coming back thru Jocassee, Tallulah and then maybe a night it Atlanta. Of all those places I’ve only stayed in the smokies. I’ve only driven thru Atlanta. Just trying to think of some different things to do.

Jocassee is beautiful and the clearest lake in the state. That said there's no or very limited rentals directly on it and I'd suggest you take a look at Lake Keowee. It's huge, beautiful, with tons of rental options and right next door. The water is clear and deep, sand bottom, with views of the mountains.
