When asked if Randle was as good as him, Benton said, "No, he's not. Yeah, he's bigger than me (6-foot-3 to 6-foot-1), but that's not all of it."

So if all that we've heard is true about Randle not liking the thought of competing (which I don't think is the case) I love Benton's attitude. Randle scared of competing while Benton is confident that he is the best, again assuming what we've heard is true.

One other question: Is it Reuben that's scared of competition or his dad that doesn't want him to have to compete?

Remember it's been a while since Benton has seen the field, as opposed to Randle who saw it barley 2 months ago...

I don't buy the "afraid of competition" line. If RR goes to Bama he will have to compete with Julio Jones for the 10 passes they throw each game.

a player of rueben's caliber is not afraid of anyone...if anything he probably thinks he can beat out anyone. main reason why his dad's story is bs.

Benton has played against much better competition at Hargrave then Randle has been playing against.

beer fan huh?

seriously, if he's afraid of the competition, then he's not a competitor, IMHO.

and we want players with DRIVE to exceed, and beat out the competition, no?

if randle comes to lsu he will still play next season . crowton's offense is made for 3 recievers. so he'll play weather benton is here or not.

we use three and sometimes four recievers in our offense so it don't matter if your 1 or 4 you will play.

LSU has more recievers than those other 2 schools, the local t.v. news reinforced what was reported earlier involving his dad. Where there smoke theres fire. I really don't think we get him.

Oh yeah, Benton is just as good, but can he qauify?

If what Papa Randle is saying is true, my questions would then be:

Does the Randle family know how good Benton really is and that worries them?

Does the Randle family think LSU only runs a 1-WR set?

Yeah, but the last time they suited up together, Benton was two years older. A senior vs. a sophomore is a big difference.

The main question that I have is, is Benton even qualified now?
