I posted this on the TV board and it was recommend I post it here for better results.
Anyone using a TV antenna for local channels having problems receiving WVLA 33 in Baton Rouge? All I get is a very weak signal, if any signal at all.
I have a roof top antenna and I'm 10 miles from the tower. All other BTR channels peg the signal strength meter.

Has it always had a weak signal?
I would try a re-scan if you haven't done that already.

No, it was very strong last week. All BTR channels, including WGMB 44 which transmits from the same tower, get maximum signal strength.

Thanks. Can you share your general location? I'm near College and Perkins. I'm 10 mi from their tower. I'm thinking their signal might be too strong...dunno. I've never experienced this before.

That's a little farther from their tower than me. Is you antenna indoor or outdoor?
Thanks!
Thanks!

quote:A-K-A Southdowns? We are in a weird reception zone where the main lobe of the nearby TV signals are aimed just a little bit above us to hit the greater metro viewing area. Plus what signal we get has to deal with the 10 bazillion trees in our area.

Solution? Raise your antenna as high as you can.
