Any ideas why one of the nicest guys on PGA Tour has been totall snubbed

in the captaincy and vice captaincy.....David Toms. He meets all the criteria as a former PGA Champion and even USGA Senior Open Champion, 13 victories on the tour.
I don't understand the snubb at all. Any thoughts on this?

I’ve always said David Toms has one of the best careers in sports. Great player, got to pretty much the pinnacle of his sport and has made millions and millions of dollars. Yet if he walked into a restaurant 95% of people there would have no idea who he was and leave him in peace. Even in Baton Rouge that number is probably 80% unless he’s wearing golf attire

Met David when he was duck hunting in Arkansas after an LSU-Arkansas football game in Little Rock. One of my favorite golfers. Also have worked a bit with his step-father-in-law. Very nice guy too.

That Dude has walked right next to me more than once and you can't see that little dude. He looks 4'2"
