Played there yesterday morning(7:30 tee time) after swearing off Olde Oaks. Only my 3rd or 4th time playing out there(been 10+ years since I've been there) and it was in very good shape IMO.
Greens were fantastic compared to what I've been playing on and the fairways were mowed down. Key to success out there is keeping it in the fairways(duh). Most holes are lined with trees on both sides and you get into trouble quickly trying to play Grizzly Adams.
Glad we had an early tee time, because the parking lot was packed by the time we got done. Will definitely keep it in our rotation.

We did the roof to the house next door to the clubhouse so when I went out there and inspected it I just jumped on the course after. it was in decent shape and the greens looked decent but holy hell they were slow. Probably the slowest greens I've ever putted on in my life

For sure. You can post a good score out there if you keep it in the fairway. It's Louisiana so it's got a a lot of hard pan. You average about 25 yards further on your Drives at Crooked Hollow than you do anywhere else. Hit a good one on #1 and you 140 in on a par 5.

Good for them, glad they are busy.

Fun little course. Agree that the greens are surprisingly good. Have the tee boxes been mowed? Last time I played there was knee high grass.
Played Northwood this weekend. It was in comparable shape and a fun round. Expect to get stuck in long rounds at both courses

Have always loved the layout. Glad to hear they mowed the fairways after we went a couple of weeks ago. The greens being in great shape (even though they are slow) means more to me than fairways but I wasn't getting that roll out there that I was used to in the fairway due to the grass. We try to play out there a couple of times a year. The lady in the clubhouse (Debby?) knows our last name and is awesome.

Yes, tee boxes looked they had just been mowed leading up to the weekend. Literally no complaints from me. I didn't have an issue with the greens being a little slow, considering I haven't played there in a decade or so. We were leaving some putts short for sure, but that's better than flying them 10 feet past the cup.

Been out that way a lot lately and it's making me want to play one afternoon. Always loved the layout, especially the back nine. I've always said the back nine is the most fun nine holes in Shreveport/Bossier.
Think I've only played out there once in a tournament since the old greenskeeper they had killed all the greens and they had to go temp greens for a while. I honestly thought that was going to be the death of the course. Glad to know they are busy.
