Everyone knows that Jim greenhouses Kevin Ford's station wagon when he smokes 2 blunts before a game.

Hawthorne usually comes down with laryngitis once a year, but usually during the first couple weeks of baseball season when it's cold outside and he has been calling Men's Basketball and Baseball games sometimes 5 or more games in a week.

He usually goes until his voice is unintelligible (ok...no wisecracks ) before he hands the reins over to his sidekick--The Griffmeister or that other guy.

Dead air probably did a better job of calling the game than Hawthorne. "MY OH MY SOMTHING JUST HAPPENED BUT I"M NOT SURE OOOOOOOHHHH MY KEVIN SOMEONE MY OH MY"

5 minutes later we figure out what really happened

How did that go? I understand one broadcaster taking over for another during the middle innings of a baseball game....but for the 2nd half of a basketball game? Kinda odd...

well i think he had a sore throat or something becuase before the second half he said he was going to take the second half off, because he had to do the TV show, and some other stuff...he was sitting next to them the second half tho...

I was wondering, myself. I got up in the 2nd half to use the john and heard Wright talking. I figured Jim was needing a break...or wanted to get away from Ford. Seriously, Jim needs to lighten up on Kevin.

It is a nice luxury to have a backup plan if you're not feeling well, one way or the other.

i'm not Mrs. Hawthorne, as you say, i just hate when people bash other people's work, i would like to hear you call an LSU sporting event (baseball, basketball, football) and see how "easy" it is

I like ole Jim, but as I said, he needs to lighten up on Kev.

It's practically:

Jim "Now they're in the bonus."

Kevin "Not yet, Jim...that's only the 6th foul."

Jim "Now wait a minute...that's NOT what I've got written down here"

Kevin "That's what the official scoreboard says."

Jim "Go to your room."

Kevin "Ok, but first here are other scores in the Top Chwenty Five"

Jim "No...GO TO YOUR ROOM!"

Kevin "Um, ok."
