Vanderbilt RV Tailgating

Anyone know where LSU RV’ers typically stay for Vanderbilt game? There’s no “on campus” RV lot so looking for suggestions from those who have gone before.
Also, anyone know what section is designated for LSU fans in the Vandy stadium?

Saty at the Marriott or Holiday Inn. Less than a 10 minute walk to the stadium. Vanderbilt doesn't even go to its own games.

With an 11 AM game, what's the point in tailgating? It's not worth the hassle.

I’ve actually never seen a thread on this board asking about tailgating at Vanderbilt

Correction to my subject line: “Vanderbilt RV Lot Suggestions” ??. Not tailgating, it’s just a term used by us LSU RV peeps for “the spot we gonna lay our head down at away games”. Vandy can’t hang with LSU in this category… or any others.

Surely the Tennessee Titans' stadium has a RV lot available? Idk

We were given tickets to Lower level 1 section Q

So they’re like Tulane?

Sections R-V are the visitor side sections. Also, a small part of Q that is behind the Vandy student section. It is actually kind of fun to sit behind the students because they are so used to not winning that they go crazy when something good happens. I think the band usually goes in Section U.
As for RV parking... there's nowhere near the stadium that I can think of that will accommodate an RV. There are two hotels that are walking distance from the stadium... a Marriott that is so close the upper level rooms can see into the stadium and a Holiday Inn that is one block over.

Oh yeah. That's right. Vanderbilt is still in the SEC.

The meet and greet is on the 17th? The night before, right?

Yes. Meet and Greet is being planned for the Friday, October 17th. We are working to finalize details. Scoreboard is a fun place on Friday Nights. Be sure to bring your dance shoes.

Nissan Stadium may have one but it’s across the river and nowhere near Vanderbilt stadium.

The Vanderbilt campus is an urban campus on the West End of Nashville (1/2 mile from downtown Nashville).
There’s no RV parking anywhere close to the Vandy campus.
As to Nissan Stadium, RV parking is only allowed on Tennessee Titan home games and No overnight parking.
This is a game where you leave the RV at home. Drive up and stay at one if the many hotels within walking distance of the Vandy campus.

Can watch game from Marriott Concierge Lounge and even from many rooms that face the stadium.

Had a room two weeks ago that faced the stadium. Was 100 feet from the end zone side of the stadium. Parthenon is across the street. May could do a picnic sort of thing or perhaps a small grill, but would have to be hand carry.

Could you watch game from there? Thinking about reserving a room on that side and watching..

I’m not really sure about that. I was not on the highest floor.
