For some context-our home was damaged by a tornado back on May 16. Contractor was pretty fast in getting a new roof up. Insurance wrote for new siding, windows and fascia/soffet, trim etc.

Siding arrived probably four weeks ago and has been sitting in the front yard. Contractor keeps saying windows is the holdup. Told me week before should be end of that week. Friday came and nothing, still no word or text, call etc.
So what's a reasonable timeline for windows to be manufactured and delivered?

depends on the window. standard vinyl windows should be no longer than 3 weeks. black windows may add a couple of weeks. if you have shapes (arches, eyebrows) that adds time, sdl bars add time, special glass adds times. if you are doing clad windows baseline time should be 5-6 weeks with all of the above mentioned things adding time to these as well.

3-4 weeks for standard sizes. Some companies will stock some standard sizes so you can get them pretty fast. If non-standard... 6 weeks or more.
