Crabbing Rockeffer Refuge

Good question. We went today and caught 5-6 dozen nice crabs (haven’t counted them yet) and 8.5 pounds of nice shrimp (limit is 10 pounds right now).

If OP is going by boat, I can let you know where we caught them.

If by vehicle, just head down Price lake Road and crab off the piers all the way at the end.

If your son and nephew haven't been crabbing much, then show them about tonic immobility in crabs. Take the first big one you catch, put it on it's back and carres it's abdomen with your finger until it appears "asleep." Give it a minute or two, then pop it with you finger and watch it's legs go crazy.

Haha. We’ve done that before. We go crabbing often in Pointe Aux Chenes, but wanted to try somewhere different since we will be in Lake Charles
