Hornady Frontier 5.56: Any issues for any O.B. baws?

I recently shot 280 rounds of Winchester white box, PMC XTAC, and Hornady Frontier. 40 rounds were Frontier and were fired midway through. I had 3 failure to eject and 2 failure to fire malfunctions (on the first attempt). Twice I struggled to pull the bolt back.
Of course, it seems to be the ammo since 240 of 2 other manufacturers fired and cycled flawlessly.
Has anyone else had any issues?

Some guns don't like some ammo; yes even Glocks.

Not with this particular round but I recently bought two boxes of Hornady Critical Defense in .38 special. About 40% of the rounds have cases that are just long enough that you can't close the cylinder. I was really disappointed because I've had good results with Horandy ammo in the past.

I’ve never had any issues with this ammo

That’s probably signs of high pressure.
Would need to see what the primers looked like to say for sure.

I shoot about 2000 rounds of this a year, 75gr. No issues. Very accurate. My hunting buddy shoots the same but 68gr
What grain are you shooting? We built the same gun and mine didn’t chamber the 68gr very well so I went to 75 and it’s perfect.
Is the gun new?
Different manufacturers - different pressures. You might be unger gassed for the frontier but just fine for the others

That's what I was thinking.

This was 55 gr. The 40 Frontier rounds and all Winchester and PMC were 55 gr. Only the Frontier had this issue.

No, I've had the AR15 for maybe 2 years. I've fired 1k+ through her. This has been the only issue. I've put maybe 7-8 different manufacturer's ammo and multiple grain weights through her. She has eaten everything except 5 of those Hornady Frontier rounds. I'm almost positive I've shot them through her in the past. Maybe it was just a bad batch of ammo?

Could be. Clean the gun and try again. Might be a gas issue or simply your setup doesn’t like those.

It was spotless and lubed well.

I'm fairly certain I've fired these through this AR15 before. Like I said, this was the only issue ever with over 1k rounds from various manufacturers and various grain weights. During this range visit, the other manufacturers' ammo, 240 rounds, went through it flawlessly. Only 5 of the 40 Frontier rounds had an issue. I assume it's just a bad batch.
I'll probably just say away from Frontier for now.
