Fished the Westside Veterans tourny yesterday out of
Doirons. 10 lbs to get a check in a 156 boat field. I pitched a speed craw most of the day and only had a couple of perch bites. Still brutally tough on the south end where we fished.

We had 13.60 but it wasn’t easy. Not gonna just run a bank or hit a bunch of drains and do that. It’s nothing like the 80s-90s. That place just isn’t right. I think the Asian carp are an issue. Also the silt and vegetation clogging up every canal as well. Ask yourself when the last time you saw anyone fishing bayou long from old river to middle fork.
