The pool pump cuts off

I leave my pump running pretty much 24/7. All of a sudden, it will just turn by itself. The breaker isn't tripped or anything. I just turn it right back via the app and run for a while. Any ideas on what may be causing this? Thanks.
It is a Pentair BTW.

Does it cut off same time everyday day? Maybe app pushed a schedule out ur something.

Is that normal or necessary?

Why?

If it is 1-2 speed it’ll just have a temperature switch. Usually those need reset by hand. If VS, you need to get off your app and go look at the error code.

I don’t know.

Vs can error out for any number of reasons. Go look at the pump screen when it turns off. Should be flashing red with a code.
Does it make loud noise at cold starts other than just the prime rpm? Could be bearings at 3+years but those teflon coated ones Pentair uses should get you double that anyway. Maybe you’re just unlucky. These things are usually rock solid. Mine doesn’t even have any paint on it, it’s just oxidized aluminum with a controller on top.

Filters, water flow restricted?

Just went outside and it was off. Opened the cover on the pump, and it was blank.

Probably shouldn’t be running it 24/7 bud…

No reason to even with a variable speed

If screen is blank then your controller turned it off. Look at your schedules.

There are a lot of scenarios where 24/7 low speed would be ideal.. most involve very large pools though, like 40k gallon plus.

True, mine is 12000. Salt. Timer set to run 2 hours at nite.
