It's in South Florida in the middle of the everglades.

I'm not sure why we need them to be honest. Just ship them out. Putting them in centers just wastes taxpayers money and now we have to spend all this money building them, maintaining, etc.

1,000 people employed full time at Alligator Alcatraz. $450,000,000 annually per facility 100% funded by the feds.

Have you never heard of processing them? It takes time to book and process these people.

Also, let’s say an illegal is from bumfrick Egypt.. do we just fly the person back with one person on a airplane to bumfrick Egypt or do we wait until we can send 100 at one time back to bumfrick Egypt?

I sometimes feel that a lot of people on this website have never ran a business before in their lives

You know you have to get them in a certain place in order to ship them out right?

The centers are holding areas while all due process is executed preventing interference from unfriendly jurisdictions.

The government does not have it's own money. It's only able to steal from some people and give to others.

So when you say "100% funded by the feds", what you're really saying it's 100% funded by stealing from citizens.

And for what purpose do we need a full time illegal alien detention center and with so many of them? Build a fricking airport.

Put one in New Iberia. All the inmates get a Caesar hair cut.

How many years do you expect its going to take to process them? Is this now the game plan for America, allow illegals in forever and build detention centers for the taxpayers to go into further debt for? Just an excuse to trample on the rights of the American people in the name of "finding all the illegals they allowed in the country to start with".

How about - build some fricking airports and put some people with guns on the border. That's what a real solution looks like.

This is a HUGE opportunity for Louisiana to take advantage of Federal Dollars. Yes, I understand Federal dollars are tax dollars fella.

Oh, so they are going to disappear in a few years after the problem is solved, and the taxpayers won't be paying for these centers for the rest of eternity?

Well we have like 15 million to deport. Unfortunately it will take more than just a few years.

If you follow the real news which apparently you don’t .. under Trump and Stephen Miller, it now only takes 15 days to process one illegal (from start to finish) - Under Biden, it took 3-5 years

You do realize that one of the reasons they selected this Everglades spot is because it has an actual functioning runway for deportation planes to land and takeoff. I’m sure you already knew that though.

Well, I am certain that they could be utilized for other things like... oh I don't know, prisons....
