I’ve never heard this, but it’s pretty interesting. My how times have changed. Dude went through a lot to be at LSU. Lots of hate from black and white people. The story about a guy from the KKK showing up at his dorm room with a shotgun is crazy! Check out the 44:13 mark.

Great interview but I don't remember beer being served in Tiger Stadium in the seventies.

lots of booze in the stadium but it was "self service"

ETA: I was friends with a lot of football players at LSU during that era, knew Terry casually but was pretty good friends with Charlie Alexander(both of our gfs were in law school and studied together,) I don't remember any of the black guys being harassed, hassled, or any huge racial issues back then, you always have a few assholes but that's true today, they were pretty good dudes and from what I could see everyone treated them pretty well, maybe because Terry was among the first and highest profile, hell, the guy with the hood and shotgun could have been one of the players, there were definitely racist football players

Did you not listen to interview? The coaching staff was racist, the HC didn't want him on the team.

I was also friends with Charlie Mac, his wife and my mom were roommates in college and played on the bb and tennis teams, I honestly don't know about that part, Charlie Mac may have had a racial appearing mindset at the time, like a shite ton of other people in the country, but he changed his mindset pretty quickly

I sort of knew Charlie back then and he would recognize me when I saw at games after his playing days although I don't think he would have known my name.
