Obviously his OV is coming up this weekend but I just thought I'd pass along some info. from Florida boards.
Our sites seem to think it's Georgia/Florida way out in front and we have a slim to none chance.
But UF boards recently updated are saying that they believe they have a slight lead over us... and they apparently have a source close to JJ.
No telling what will happen... but this visit could be big time this weekend.

Jarvis Jones has always been going out of state IMO. I still think it is between UF/LSU.

Jones would be the cherry on top of this already one of a kind class. The elusive big time line backing recruit. Not getting my hopes up though until I hear about how his visit goes.

Is he projected to play LB or DE at LSU?

I'm confused since both a WDE and a MLB are positions of need at LSU, and I haven't really followed his recruitment too closely anyway because I never really thought we had a shot.

i personally think jarvis jones is one of the most underrated lb's in this years class. i got to see him play in the state championship last year and he can play. i think florida is where he will end up though, but if lsu makes a big impression anything can happen.
however, hes going to bama

What does Florida think about their chances with Jenkins and would that help us with Jones? I basically wrote him off a while back and assumed this visit would eventually be cancelled.

Same here.
Florida thinks they have Jenkins in the bag. Cancelled all his in-home visits after his one with Meyer. He loves Florida, loves Meyer... so do his parents. Also, apparently he's super religious... so he seems himself in the Tebow mold.

Jones was projected to be a MLB, but after the all star games everyone is projecting him as DE.
IMO and IMHO I think Jenkins goes to PSU. No reason, just a gut feeling.
As for Jones, I think it's a race between UF and LSU. I'm sure if he commits to LSU though, U. Meyer will flag his test score with the clearinghouse. He did it with TT, then with PP, so he keeps up the trend with JJ.

Why do so many LSU fans keep saying this. If you just have a gut feeling, then why do you feel the need to spread it everywhere. Most UF "insiders" have called this guy as a silent commit or a 100% lock. If he doesn't come to UF it would be the biggest surprise of this recruiting season for me....

FWIW: LSU fans aren't the only one's saying this. LINK
