I was 11 for the bluegrass miracle. Watching with the family in our living room I went to storm off to my room right before the last play with no intention of seeing out the game. I turned around right when I got to the hallway to see Randall cock to throw at the hash-mark, the rest is history.
Thus I learned very young, when the tigers are on to not turn off the TV or go to sleep no matter how late or how hopeless it’s looking…especially in baseball.
