1) I know someone said on here a few weeks ago that the new LSU Gift Center that is located right next to Mike's Habitat would be finished this month but is there any link confirming this? I know lsusports.net used to post regular photo updates of the new gift store being built but they stopped posting regular pics of it a few months ago. I know it's pretty close to being done but does anyone know when the date it is supposed to open up and anyone have any new photo's?

2) What is everyone's thoughts on the New Jumbotron and scoreboard system at the PMAC? Is the picture in HD and as good as it was marketed to be? I'm asking because I haven't had the chance to make it down for a Basketball game yet so I'm asking those that have attended.

1) Doesn't look anywhere near done.

2) The screens look the same to me. I don't think they changed those. They added LCD banners on the top and on the corners of the scoreboard to display ads and random graphics, but nothing more than that.

Really tigerbait? I know the article on lsusports.net about the all the new video boards being installed at LSU that they said there would be new video replay boards installed at the PMAC into the exsisting hanging structure. Guess they changed their mind?

I didn't notice either.

I hope they spend a few more bucks on the new football screen.

They definitely changed them. It's noticeable to me. Not obvious or amazing, but noticeable.

The PMAC screens are preety much the same as last year.

I'm waiting to see the new screens in the football stadium. IT'S GONNA BE AWSOME!

Installation of the first system is in place at the Maravich Center with four new video displays measuring approximately 8 feet high by 10 feet wide and retro-fitted into the existing scoreboard structure. Also, an LED display ring has been installed at the top of the scoreboard measuring more than 3 feet high by 80 feet in circumference.

This statement is from the article on lsusports.net LINK
So if their statement is as such then it would have already been installed before basketball season began??

I clicked on that link and then the link for the pictures of the video boards, here's that link, and on the football, baseball, and softball scoreboards it has LSU beating Florida on all of them.

Was dragged to the Globetrotters show tonight at the Cajundome. They (ULL) definitely overcompensated for their lackluster performance on the court, with one hell of a video set up. Still makes me question why LSU doesn't have something equal. I remember reading in the paper that it would be the best in the state once ULL added it this season.

Either way, I'll never complain, it gives me an excuse for missing the hidden logo under one of the balls game.

Before I drove by the new Box today and realized that there was no way it would be ready for the season, I happened to pass by the Gift Center, and sure enough, it won't be ready either.

Such is the story of new construction. Especially when they're waiting on special orders to be shipped and delivered.

As long as the Gift Center is ready for football season, I don't see any reason to worry about the delay.

no

When the page loads, look underneath the thumbnail images for the link that says Next ->. The images for the gift shop are after the ones for the new Box and before the ones for the new Tiger Park.
