Swamp Room Burgers

ok, just went for the first time.
Solid burger, nothing special. Mushy, nasty fries. Awful, awful bloody mary. At least it was fairly cheap.
Why is there so much hype for this place?
eta: in the New Orleans area i put it below the following:
Port of Call
Phil's
Yo Mama's
Chili's
about even with Balcony Bar on Magazine.

I started with the burger here...pretty good IMO. I always get the mashed potatoes as my side.
However... now if I'm going to Swamp Room...I'm going on 9.99 steak night.... can't beat a $10 filet! It's really good too!

Usually a person is drunk and hungry when they eat at the swanp room. That always makes food taste much better. The burger there is decent, not one of the best.

I was just getting ready tp\o say the exact same thing. It is good for a bar burger. Try Oscar's on Metry Road next time. With a side of a loaded baked potato with sauteed shrooms. AWESOME. Ohhhh and a side of ice cold beer!

The burger at Red Eye is much better than Swamp Room.

that makes sense. Once i saw the hours of the kitchen i thought that might be the case.
