OL possibilities

It seems like Adam's, Thompson, Moore and Davis will start (correct me if I'm wrong) which leaves one Guard spot open. Curne is an athletic freak on the O line being able to backflip, I read somewhere that he was up to about 330 with good weight since he got to BR and been hitting the weights. What I'm getting at for people that know more than I do is who would you'll start in that open guard spot. At this point I'll go with Curne as he seems to have all the measurables needed to be a first round pick & after no run game for three years I wanna see some maulings from an interior O Lineman

Ignore. New coaching staff addition.

He's 6'4 325, clearly an interior guy. I'm guessing this gives them the flexibility to move Thompson out to tackle if needed. It can't hurt to have another quality guy, we're definitely all in this year

He’s coming as a coaching intern.

Well we just added 7th year senior Jackson Lampley, someone I've never heard of.
He is going to be an intern for the coaching staff

Gonna be honest, I didn't read any of the words in his post. Just saw the LSU logo and assumed it was a transfer
I'll edit my post.

Left to Right I think:
Adams, Curne, Moore,Thompson, Davis
Adams, Curne, Moore,Thompson, Davis

I like that lineup. I believe Curne is a future first rounder, a real deal difference maker so I think he can take that job from whoever is ahead of him

Honestly, it seems like the combinations are endless because of the unproven talent. We’ve recruited olinemen extremely well the past few years, so the talent is there but not game time experience in the SEC. I worry about them in week 1 against Clemson. Clemson will have one of the best defensive lines we’re likely to play next year (probably top 15 nationally). We’re going to trot out basically first year SEC starters (minus Chester) who will have to gel together quickly in the first game to win.

There's absolutely no way Curne is ending up starting game 1 against Clemson

Adams, Mubenga, Chester, Echols, Davis

Ok, then stay out the topic, I was asking if anyone knew more about Spring football, more specifically the offensive line.

I didn't say he would, I stated his strengths and asked others what they thought. I mean the same OL coach started Campbell and Jones at Tackle their freshman year....and he'd be starting at Guard, easier than LT....not sure where the funny part is

I don't think Kelly and Davis payed 2 guys to come here to have them sit the bench. The way Mubenga progressed I believe in a year or so he'll be a solid lineman but not against Clemson when the stakes are so high

Because those are anomalies and not only that, they're not putting a freshman in a meat grinder against that talented DL. Even Campbell/Jones had their struggles as freshman. They have guys ahead of him that have experience they'll start with them first. He may end up being very good but expecting him to start immediately seems unrealistic. If he is, we're probably going to have major growing pains in game 1.

We have to have better than Chester and Mubenga.

The Chester slander is too harsh. He was a top 60 recruit who was playing out of position at center. He def has the skillset to be a damn good guard
