Thinking about headed to Austin city Limits for a 1 day pass then spend another day in town hanging out. There are 4-5 acts that day we would really like to see. It's about 7 1/2 hours from us. Is it worth it?

If you like the lineup, absolutely. The production value is great - there are multiple beer/alcohol tents, pop ups, and terraces that you can go to. Easy to get food. Line to get in isn't bad. Beautiful view of downtown. People of all ages.
There's also a massive beer tent that has a bunch of TVs and football on so you wont miss the action on Saturday or Sunday.

I go every year. It’s a fun time. Hydrate and bring your wallet (or other supplies) and you’ll have a good time
Kids under 8 get in free so just be aware it’s a slightly different vibe than some of the other bigger festivals. Not that it’s a day care, just not crazy or influencer focused like Coachella

ACL is a blast and very laid back. Go have fun.

Went to the first 2 in '02 and '03 and it was a good time... hotter than hell in Sept... looks like it's now in October which may help a bit..
Favorite memory was watching Skykar Green catch that TD pass against UGA in '03 on a little handheld Sony, while watching the DBT's set...
