Sam Petitto-why has LSU never pursued him or hired him? Bad blood?

Petitto seems to work well for everyone else especially big name schools. Georgia, Bama now Ohio St. At every stop he’s made there’s always a few top recruits from Louisiana (not just Amite/Tangipohoa area) that follow him. Blaine Bradford is from BR and went to Catholic High so how did Petitto get this kid to decommit from LSU and commit to Ohio St.?He definitely had a hand in it and it wasn’t just about money. I think the selling point was Ohio St. has a real Safeties Coach and Jake Olsen isn’t a real Safeties Coach. His first job as a sole Safeties job was LSU last year. He’s never been just a DB coach either. He's mostly coached linebackers. For LSU to be once known as “DBU” and they hire this guy as a Safeties Coach? Baker brought Olsen back to LSU with him from Mizzou. Olsen was an analyst at LSU in 2021, and somehow gets a huge raise and a coaching position when rehired along with Baker last year. Sounds like a buddy system hire to me and it’s NOT what’s best for LSU! We need to hire Patrick Peterson to coach the Cornerbacks and let Corey Raymond coach the Safeties!!

It was predicted he would commit to LSU. His brother committed to LSU. Either way, LSU should not lose top safeties from BR to Ohio State that easily. If Sam Petitto wasn’t there, I highly doubt he commits to Ohio St. His influence now exceeds the Amite / Tangi area. I guess LSU has too much pride to hire the guy!

And??? Saban is retired. Moot point. Money talks. He’s a money guy first like Saban..like anyone for that matter.

Cool! Pay somebody else to help a guy we’re already paying! Meanwhile Ohio St is about to reclaim the DBU title with a coach that came from Jacksonville Jaguars and he has another coach in the secondary tool

Only one melting seems to be you…you should have said I’m sure in the past they didn’t cuz of Sabsn but now it’s fair game. Also, Petitto was at Georgia under Richt and Smart and Sabsn had no problem poaching Petitto from Georgia cuz he’s not a p****y like some at LSU. Truth hurts.

Oh and let me add this so Bama got Petitto and DeVonte Smith. Devonte was first committed to Georgia if you didn’t know. Most in this forum know but maybe some need to be reminded.
