They are a very good live band. I love the fact that they keep it simple in terms of the "show" and focus on the music. It's really a minimalist approach to live music. They just let the music speak for itself, and it does.
They played the three songs my wife wanted to hear, Black, Yellow Ledbetter, and Even Flow. My wife is a bigger Pearl Jam fan than me. The first time we saw them was in Tad Gormley in 1992. We were just friends then. The show brought back good memories.
What came across was how genuine and authentic Eddie Vedder is. He seems like a really good dude in real life. He connects with the audience really well.
They opened with Present Tense. That song is MUCH better live than recorded. For the live version of songs Mike McCready just goes off. He improvises a lot which was awesome to see.
A couple of months ago we were looking at Jazz Fest tickets to go see them today but saw that they were playing in the State Farm Area in Atlanta. We decided to buy tickets for the indoor venue in Atlanta. We've been to Jazz Fest a few times and it's fun but I'm happy we flew to Atlanta to see them in the State Farm Area. The sound was excellent and we did not have to risk weather.
I hope my friends can avoid the weather today at Jazz Fest.

Looking at their set lists, she got lucky because they don’t play those every night

I'm going to see them in Nashville on Tuesday night. Really looking forward to it.

I was there Thursday as well. Fantastic show. Eddie talking about the 94 Fox theater show before “Dissident” was really cool

Yeah, how they isolated a tract from the Fox Theater live show and I guess Eddie over dubbed the vocals to the live music track for the album recording. Or something like that.
