Does anyone know why LSU wasn't a bigger player for Okot? Was LSU not that interested since they put all their eggs in the Serah Williams basket?
Maybe the heightened publicity of LSU's recruiting of Williams made Okot and other bigs in the portal back off. I don't believe I've seen close to that level of recruiting publicity for any other player in the women's portal this spring.
Does anyone have any info on whether or not it was a "Serah Williams or bust" type of approach from LSU? Hopefully not. I would have to think that a recruiting whiz and 40-year championship coach like Kim would have a good backup plan.

Okot has a couple friends from Africa that are already play for Carolina. She might've been a tougher pull than Serah.

I was wondering because South Carolina was already loaded in the frontcourt with Daumba, Tac, and Watkins (if recovered) at the 5 and Edwards and Kitts at the 4.

Duada moved from Nigeria when she was 12. Tac is from Sudan and moved when she was a kid.
