What are you baws paying these days for total work through of an outboard engine? I have a 2016 Yamaha 90.
Want all fluids, filters and water pump. Assuming parts and labor 500-600? High, low?

I paid around $310 for a 250HP
Good rule of thumb is $1.25 a HP

I wouldn’t expect it to be less than $600. Depends on the dealer, too.

For about $150-200 and roughly hour of your time you could do it yourself. This includes spark plugs and fuel/water separator too. It’s an easy job. I did it myself on my 115 at the beginning of the year.

This. Outboards, even modern 4 strokes, are about the simplest machines ever built...its a big reason why they last forever even when they are abused.
In my area, and it has one of if not the largest number of registered boats in the US for an inland area, which means there is a boat dealer and a mechanic on every other corner. I would bet that they are 6-8 weeks out for warranty repairs....let that sink in, someone has an outboard still under warranty and they are waiting 6-8 weeks to get it repaired. Service and maintenance and out of warranty repairs is probably 16-20 weeks out. I am still waiting (not really, I made one) for a diode that is in every remote start mercury outboard that has been built in the last 30 years and I burnt the one up on my engine in the fall of 2020. Going on 5 years and Mercury can't get one of them for anything other than new engines and warranty work. If you own a boat here and are dependent on someone else maintaining or repairing it you are not going to have use of the thing for loooong periods of time...luckily they are very simple machines and for the most part easy to get at....
