Football ticket question

I want to get tickets for me and my old man this fall. Both of us would be traveling from out of state. Haven't been to Death Valley since 2002 and I was just a teenager. Im gonna splurge on these tickets because it might be my last chance to do something like this with my father.
Is there a difference between the home field side and visitor side? In comfortability? Like, Is one side more rowdy than the other? If I got tickets behind the bench am I in the student section?
When watching the games on TV it always seems like the older crowd seems to sit by the endzones.
Looking for suggestions before I purchase

Afternoon games definitely get LSU side lower bowl tickets for shade. After that if it was a night game I would get non visits it or sections south end zone and then north end zone tickets

Student section is the north end zone (200 sections). 100 sections are the LSU side (west side). Definitely want west side for a day game - east side is brutal.

If you get right behind the bench rows 1-10 you will be watching the game from the big screen because you can't see shite.
If you looking to $plurge and willing to come to a lesser game you may want to consider getting the field seats in the North Endzone. These are premium field level seats in front of student section with a table and chairs.

Depends on early or late in the season. A day game in November the east side can be shirt sleeve weather while the west side is bundled up like eskimos.

Get west side tix if possible, you’ll be out of the sun. Unless it’s a late season game then you may want the warmth of the east side.
Lower bowl is more “rowdy” than upper decks but honestly most sections are pretty calm these days (outside of the student section)
If you get tix behind the bench, make sure you’re at least 20 rows up. Otherwise you’re looking at the backs of players and watching the video boards all game.

Older and corporate crowd sits in the 100s and 300s. Those are the most expensive.
You can’t go wrong with lower bowl NEZ or SEZ. That’s where my season tix have been and it’s been fun every season. People in the end zones get into the game more and you’ll make tons of friends in your section.
Have fun with your pops and Geaux Tigers

Are you sure planning on leaving at halftime?
