Not ideal across the board. China might be selling but the treasury auction today was weak and rates are flying.

Up 60 bps in 2 days.

But right now, it seems 4.5 was the ceiling, at least in the last hour or so. Buyers jumping in now.

Who knows what's going to happen next, but it's been interesting to watch happen in real time.

Are there any other suitable investment alternatives besides US treasuries for the Chinese government? Because if so, I’m unaware of them.

He should have listened to President Trump a month ago instead of being a little bitch about it.

I read that the Fed has a closed door meeting on Monday. Perhaps this was discussed.

Certainly you understand the fed funds rate has little if any impact on the 10 year, right?

I can't fathom the level of economic ignorance it takes to make this statement.

The 10 year treasury is free floating, ya'll.

Are you really going to bet the market can’t recover its losses in 10y? Just getting back to where we were 8 weeks ago would be a 1.8% CAGR. If stocks overall can grow another 3% per year you’re better off in equities.

Nah. Listen to the genius above explaining that it's not.

I am sure market will recover - hence I am not willing to sale equities to buy treasuries

I don't think China can continue to manipulate market for long. It will cost them a lot . So could make quick buck on treasuries
