It's funny watching movies like Hidden Figures and seeing absolutely no cigarettes or ashtrays in sight. Meanwhile, if you watch documentary footage of day-to-day operations at NASA from that period, you'll see that everyone was a chain smoker.

The world was a cooler place when everyone smoked.

Warnings before TV shows or Movies shows the direction society is pushing....

“This program contains outdated cultural depictions. Viewer discretion is advised.” - Bonanza

I believe All in the Family was the first Show with a Disclaimer....in fact, it premiered with a disclaimer:

“The program you are about to see is ‘All in the Family.’ It seeks to throw a humorous spotlight on our frailties, prejudices and concerns. By making them a source of laughter, we hope to show — in a mature fashion — just how absurd they are.”

Some Cable channels still run that Disclaimer on reruns of All in the Family.

The movie was pretty good. Nice part of history that should be told again.

I would've pulled a Kelly's Heroes and taken some of those gold bars.
