SPOILERS:
Just watched it on Netflix…I’m sure it’s already been discussed here ad nauseum, but at the risk of wrath from certain posters, I’ll mention it again. It was good, not great. The first one was GREAT. I think my biggest problem with 2 was how this super secret society of bad guys let Butlers character in their gang with no problem, knowing he was a cop.

I watched it the other day and enjoyed it. Agree it’s not as good as the first, but mainly because Merrimen and his crew were so damn entertaining.

I actually liked it way more than I thought I would. My friends told me it sucked so I put off watching it for awhile. Watched it the other night and was pleasantly surprised. My only issue is why would he go through all of that work to finally catch fraulein just to let him go at the end? I guess catching the guy the French police said they’d been after for a decade was a bigger deal?
Also, I love how when butler is talking to him in the interrogation room at the end he mentions it wasn’t all bullshite. Looking back I think he was really going to break bad until the mafia guys got them on the boat. There’s a few things that give it away after that. The run in with the French cop at the church being the biggest when he says “be careful with your new friends” , and how he made sure the security guard he shot was ok. I thought it was great how they did that

Or that the cop had to tell the cops to arrest them but then tell him he getting broken out of jail 5 minutes later so really all he did was send away the hot piece of arse he could've gotten.

First one was GREAT. Didn't expect to enjoy it that much. The 2nd one was okay. Entertaining but not anywhere near as good as the first one.
