I have an old Mossberg 22 mag bolt action that was my grandpa's and would like to pass it on to my son. I would like some suggestions on who could refurbish this gun for me. The main problem is the bolt is stuck, something is missing with the slide mechanism. I would also like to have the gun re-blued and the stock sanded and refinished. A general cleaning and back in safe operating condition.

My grandpa gave it to me 40 years ago. I think it is from the late 1950's. It is an awesome rifle, a varmint gun for sure. Highly accurate.

All suggestions would be much obliged.

Reulet Gun Works. He does a lot of nice restorations.

When my boy was around 7.. he helped me refinish a stock on a Glenfield/Marlin model 60 22lr with the squirrel on the stock (my dad gave it to me when I was a kid in the 70’s). No bluing work, just a breakdown and cleaning that was way overdue.

Anyway, when we had it like we wanted, we both signed our name on the wood under the buttpad and may have dated it.

I wish I had my grandpa’s old 22.

You’re a good dad.
