Like Trump has implied and stated blatantly, we have been taken advantage of for far too long and that's about over now. We wanted a President with some balls and here he is!

They all do this initially...then a few days later they relent and accept.

Canada has been living off the largesse of it's much bigger neighbor for decades, so it isn't too surprising they are acting like a child that got his Playstation taken away.

Y'alls influencers have been lying to yall. Canada imposed reciprocal tariffs.

Canada targeted tariffs, as opposed to Trumps blanket tariffs.

quote:

On February 1, 2025, the United States (U.S.) announced it would impose 10 per cent tariffs on energy imports from Canada and 25 per cent tariffs on all other imports from Canada, effective February 4, 2025. The U.S. subsequently delayed the entry into force of the tariffs to March 4, 2025.

In response to these tariffs, Canada is imposing reciprocal tariffs of 25 per cent against C$30 billion in imports of goods from the U.S., effective March 4, 2025, at 12:01 am.

Canada has been using tariffs against the United States since 1867. So are these Super Reciprocal Tariffs?

GM and Ford built plants in Canada back in the 'teens/20's solely due to Canadian tariffs.

GM had a small locomotive plant in London Ontario, while it's main factory was in Illinois, solely due to Canadian tariffs.

Canucks have always loved to tariff US products.

Sure they are. Just because they lifted the tariffs on aluminum and steel, doesn’t mean they lifted the rest.

I remember back when I didn't post, just read, you weren't a half bad poster. I admired that you were recovering from substance abuse, and doing better. I think it was all a lie though...you were just hiding who you were. Like a gay hiding in the closet, then finally coming out, you are now a flaming liberal, and that's a fact. I suspect TDS has destroyed you and you likely fell off the wagon some time ago, because you act just like the nasty liberals now when you post. Blows my mind how you would rather have the disgusting dems and all their trans/gay/racist bs with no actual policy.

But Trump renegotiated NAFTA himself in 2018 no? “Everyone said it’s the greatest deal”.
