Pretty cool video chronicling MMA journalist E. Casey Leydon's decision to experience what the MMA fighters he covers experience. I enjoy listening to him on the MMA Fighting podcast.

Dude is way too old for that stuff.
I used to watch Casey and Esther on MMAFighting all the time, long ago, but they seemed to lose their enthusiasm and seriousness about covering the sport, and I stopped watching. Esther is a fabulous photographer. On one of their videos I remember submitting a question to her about photography and she answered it. She always seemed like a nice person. Casey would get snarky with people asking questions. I think that was because he didn't know much about MMA and was mainly a tech guy.
I remember Esther captured amazing shots back when Conor was ripping his way through the UFC and then with his fight with Mayweather. I remember they found a way to literally put her up in the rafters for a Conor training session (leading to the Mayweather fight), in order to let her get some good photos. I don't know if she still goes to the fights but she used to be cageside all the time.

He looked good to me--ESPECIALLY as a 47 year old.

Interesting. I've only been listening to him for a relatively short time, but I haven't picked up on that yet.

Maybe they've been rejuvenated. Back when I listened to them, the conversations often drifted to what coffee mug they were using and MMA wasn't a focus. It seemed like they were mailing it in. I remember commenters tracking the number of subscriptions they had and it was dropping fast.

mma journalism has been pretty shitty overall. as of the last few years some of the fighters both active and retired are getting into it and making it much more tolerable.
