Hell no I won’t. It’s worked for 150 years of baseball. No need to reinvent the wheel when your pitchers can’t hit their spots.

I did not know it was on and I watched 2 fastballs batter was late on. Then 3rd fastball and we see the shift.

The shift is absolutely necessary in todays game

But whoever is in charge of the shifts for LSU needs to find another job

Y’all need to fricking learn baseball. There’s a reason every baseball team on the face of the earth utilizes the shift. It works.

The dumb fans just ignore it when it does.

In the major league game when guys can hit a fly on the catchers mask with 4 pitches, yes.

It doesn’t work when your pitcher misses a 2 seamer supposed to be on the inside corner on the outside black.

It’s got more to do with hitters’ tendencies.

And matters zero if you can’t pitch to those tendencies

Not when guys are learning how to beat it by being willing to just take what you're giving them. When you're leaving one side of the field with only 1 defender as well as the outfield shifted over you don't even have to put a good swing on the ball to get on. Just hit it to the side where the 1 defender is and you've got a great shot of getting on.

Why don’t you show stats that says the shift in the college game works?
