I’m looking to buy a sack of shrimp for a boil this fall. Does anyone know a shrimper that sells IQF shrimp? I’d rather buy directly from the source, but I can buy from BR fish mkt if needed.

Where do you live? You can buy them fresh off the boats docked in Delcambre during shrimp season.

I live in BR. I’m going on a trip, and wanted to boil shrimp during the vacation. First couple of nights are out, so the frozen would easiest. I’ve boiled them before, and their great.

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone sell IQF shrimp from the boat. They have IQF so they can stay out longer and normally sell all of it to a distributor.

White shrimp season starts back up in August. So there will be plenty of pretty much any kind of shrimp you would want to buy. So just get them fresh.

Also, you can buy from Tony’s in BR and it will be cheaper than spending gas and time to go to a shrimp boat.

Fill up a Yeti cooler with fresh, then add a single ice cube and it will stay cold for 799 days.
