What travel insurance do you recommend that offers medical coverage internationally (this would be for Canada in May).

UHC Safe Trip
I use this. I can get international health insurance including repatriation. Also can purchase a plan that includes traditional trip insurance.

It depends on what sort of medical coverage are are you looking for.
The options, coverage and pricing will differ vastly between covering urgent and emergent events, ambulance transportation, etc. and/or routine care (ie, a doctors visit)
