It amazes me that some of you are upset that a band you like has not been inducted into the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame". If you give this establishment any Creedence (I see what I did there) after it's second or third year of existence then you have issues. It is an absolute fricking joke and I would prefer bands that I do like that have been inducted remove themselves from the hall as a matter of principle.

Eminem is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Bands not in: The Smiths, Iron Maiden, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden and more.

That should answer any questions to its legitimacy.

It hasn't been "Rock-n-Roll" for years, and Jan Wenner's personal biases ruined its legitimacy very early on.

If it was started in 1983 and didn't begin canonization inductees until 86 isn't it practically the tombstone of rock-n-roll?

I mean most everything after that is splintered and bashed rock at best. Metal, hair, Seattle to limp-wrist to slack-key, to unearthly, til now being sold as country.
