Russell Vought director of office of management and budget, looks like he will get confirm

Projected 53-47. That pit bull will start causing havoc from the get go.
If you remember, DOGE kept talking about doing things in conjunction with OMB, this office has a lot of power that has not been utilized in the past.
The senate filibustered all last night in protest of his nomination, that should tell you something. Schumer HATES him, that should tell you something else.
He has continually argued that it is within the constitutional powers of the OMB to decline payments not strictly in the purview of what it was budgeted for. In other words, you cant budget dump just to spend the money allocated to you.
He had an interview with Tucker for those interested, and I am certain a lot of these things DOGE is looking at, Russ bird dogged them for him.

His interview with Tucker was great. He’s done the job before and is trustworthy to follow Trump’s agenda. Very intelligent person who is not afraid to do what it takes the get the budget tamed.
