Anyone have any experience with a company like Forge Global that allows the retail investor to buy shares of a private company that’s hasn’t had an IPO yet? There’s a few companies I expect to go public in the near future and this seems like a way to get in early?
Any warnings or advice? Is it as straight forward as it reads on the website?
Thanks.

I didn’t find anything about their website straightforward. It looks like you have to physically engage with a sales rep for any information. Google says there’s a $100k minimum and a 5% fee.
There must be a huge markup, as a lot of those companies establish authorized firms for employees to sell shares. In that case Forge asks as a middleman on each side of the deal and the market maker setting the valuation.
