It's a Wonderful Knife (available on Shudder and Hulu)

Has anyone seen this movie? I believe it had a limited release in theaters in November 2023, then become available on Shudder, and is now also available on Hulu.
Obviously, it's a horror spin on It's a Wonderful Life, but god damn this movie was frustrating. Had a pretty good cast, decent kills, decent premise, but the plot was all over the place and ultimately made no fricking sense.
Anyone have any thoughts on it?

It was marketed as a horror comedy slasher film distributed by Shudder. You have to know going in that:

The "problem" was that the acting was actually pretty good in the movie which made the fact that it was a ridiculous movie with a ridiculous premise/plot stand out more.
Had this been just your normal shitty acting that you normally get in these movies, it would have just been a normal campy horror movie where no one thinks about the plot at all.

Very true. I guess one of my major issues is that the whole time I was watching, I kept thinking about how Totally Killer and The Final Girls did a somewhat similar concept SO much better.
I also think my expectations were a bit higher since it was written by Michael Kennedy, who also wrote Freaky (which I thought was very good).
