What happens if I put out pre emerge without rain? Will it be okay until next rain?
I've got a pinched nerve in my lumbar and I can only do what I can when I can. I can't drag a sprinkler around watering it in.

Pre emergent won't be "activated" until its watered in. Max time you want to wait is 14 days but it will start working as soon as you water it in so the sooner the better.

Gotta get it down to soil level. Pay a neighborhood kid to move the sprinkler around. Pre em breaks down much faster on leaf tissue.

Thanks, ronk
I'm too cheap to pay the kids. They can stay off my lawn

Slight hijack. I’ve followed these threads for a while and have never done more than weed & feed. This year, think I would like to take yard a little more seriously.
Putting these pre emergents and later fertilizers down, is there any danger to my dog in the yard? Either investing it, or just getting her paws on it?

My dogs never had an issue with weed and feed, nor have I ever heard of there being an issue with pets.

Just read labels either on the bag or from your computer. Many/most are pet friendly. You may need to wait a certain period of time.

What you are buying from the box stores in terms of weed and feed likely has most of the chemicals and ferts that you would be putting down. Keep dogs and people off until dust has settled or chemicals have dried.

With all this humidity/moisture in the air does it help dissolve it with less watering?
