Available on Amazon.com The Forgotten Spy
When semi-retired Louisiana lawyer Randall Oliver is drawn into the unsolved murder of a reclusive old woman from his past, he has no idea it will upend everything he thought he knew about himself. What begins as a diversion from his quiet life on a rural farm with his new wife, Deena spirals into a tangled web of espionage, betrayal, and corporate intrigue. As he digs deeper into this cold case, he befriends a nearly century-old former federal agent who tantalizingly holds the keys to the past and wants the past to stay secret.
As Randall digs into the woman’s mysterious death, he uncovers her shadowy ties to Middle East World War II intelligence operations—and a chilling connection to his own identity. With forces conspiring to bury the truth, Randall’s search for answers takes him from the heart of the American South to a medieval Ottoman fortress in Yemen, where a daring rescue puts his life on the line.
Meanwhile, his role as CEO of a Houston oil company becomes equally treacherous. When a former rival resurfaces, threatening his company’s future, Randall must navigate a high-stakes battle involving fraud, corporate espionage, and a partner’s shocking betrayal. With time running out, Randall unearths a secret that links his personal and professional turmoil in ways he never could have imagined.
The Forgotten Spy is a gripping tale of suspense, loyalty, and the enduring pursuit of truth, where the past and present collide with explosive consequences.

Unfortunately, it's only available through Amazon. I once could get shelf space in a few independent book stores, but it's too much of a hassle so I just market through Amazon.

How did you publish? And how much was it? I have a novel that is almost finished and would be interested in getting it published.

It's free to publish through KDPAmazon.com. I did my own cover art using AI and utilized Grammerly for editing.

I’m writing a book right now, and can’t say enough about how much Grammerly has helped. I’m not exactly an English major, so anything extra helps. And the more you use it, the more you learn about what mistakes you’re making. I’d like to know more about this Amazon self-publishing. It’s pretty easy?
ETA: I’m assuming you don’t get any developmental editing done? Because I have some questions about that as well.

Just go to that KDP Amazon website, and it will guide you step by step. I used Grammarly, but I also used ChatGPT. I'd load about 10,000 characters, and the AI would edit and rewrite any awkward phrases.

Congrats on producing your own body of work, but I have yet to see a good self published book cover. Especially on this board.
I would highly recommend anyone going this route actually hires a graphic designer / illustrator and make it look like a publishing company release. Barcode, etc.
What I am seeing in this market truly makes it easy to judge a book by a cover.
