I wonder what happens to the rights to the code submitted.
If the code is genius but not for this particular project, does the writer retain exclusive rights to shop it out to other companies or develop it on his or her own?
It’s probably addressed in the fine print somewhere.

No shite. Nobody should care if we have someone on a visa in these spots, it should be the best and brightest. Obviously legal migrants. Saying an American deserves the job because they’re American is no different than DEI saying who should be hired because of their diversity. HIRE THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST!

I didn't see anything in Musk's tweet that mentioned anything about nationality. In fact it said that doesn't matter.
So, you support DEI? I'm sure there are excellent coders from America as well as other countries.

All I know is it’s hilarious to see republicans be in favor of laying off Americans for low paid foreign workers.
So you have 2 workers, one is American and the other is foreign. The American worker is better than the foreign worker and gets paid more. Why are you in favor of firing the American worker for the lower cost lower productive foreign workers?
