I work for Samsung and this shite terrifying. Company leadership is so ridiculously embedded in Korean politics I am just waiting to hear about our board members and C-suite execs being arrested.

Can someone explain why the president tried to implement Martial Law?

It looks like a fog of war situation and none of us really know what the hell's going on over there.

The president could have gone nuts and hauled off unhinged with his martial law declaration, or maybe the NORKS/CCPP have infiltrated the government to the extent where his declaration was legitimate to save the Republic from a high-tech coup.

We don't really know.

Yoon should be considered the good guy. He's pro-West, pro-US, and anti-China. Apparently there was election frickery similar to ours in the most recent election that resulted in pro-CCP plants being installed in various elected offices. Yoon declared martial law to investigate the voting commission and potentially nullify the election. But apparently the newly elected CCP congressmen voted to impeach Yoon and strip him of presidential powers, and have him arrested.

That's my understanding as a very removed outsider. But it appears Yoon is the one we should be pulling for here.
