GPS fence collar for dogs

We need to do something to keep our basset from wandering. Does anyone have any experience with the GPS fence collars ? The area I’m thinking about keeping him on is 7.5 acres.

If you get cell service where you're at, I highly recommend Whistle. $9.00 per month.

I have Spot on and it works great. No service necessary unless you need active tracking and if for some reason he gets out you can activate the service in like 5min and begin tracking services.
