I really gave him the benefit of the doubt most of the year being a freshman and all. I was at the alabama game, sitting on the 30 yardline, when on third down and three he rolled to my side, he could have walked for 10 yards but instead threw the ball out of bounds. He was scared of taking a hit for the team. That was when i finally gave up on him.

I never totally gave up on him and think he'll still be a good QB.

HOpefully, he can shake whatever mental funk he was allegedly in and move on and chalk this year up to inexperience.

I haven't given up on Lee.
I think he has the potential to be great (especially if all the asses give him a break and stop trying to screw with his head).
I think JJ & RS will also play a big part.
But think back to the Troy come back...
We've been able to score all season.
I hope JL improves and becomes the best QB we've ever had here.

WHAT did you do, when it was about 8mins to go and we were down by 7, and he led that drive to tie the game at 21? just curious. I know you dont know this so ill tell you, in that dirve 3 diff times we faced 3rd and long adn JL completed passes to keep drive going.

If you've given up on ANY fresh player that "thrown" into a situation he wasn't ready for and wasn't supposed to be in yet, started 8 games threw for over 1800 yards, and had a defense that couldnt stop bad news fuking pee wee football bears, then you are FUKING DUMB frick.... and you don't truly support this team much less its players.
SOme of you people make me sick.

the moment i gave up on him was when he could have walked for a first down but stopped and threw that horrible lob pass up over the RB's head and out of bounds. i wanted to throw my remote through the TV

It's over. J.L. is a back up. He might be a very important one. There is no more drama.... wake up and let's support both, and next year, all of the QB's.

N. Texas game (everyone in the stadium knew where the ball was going..they just did not have the talent to defend it.)

I thought he had turned the corner in the 2nd half of the troy game but found out later that his physical talents greatly exceeded his understanding of the position.

Precisely the moment when I said that he cannot be entrusted with leading the team - ever.

THis demonstrated total lack of football instinct - and I don't think that is something that can be taught or coached. If you don't have any instinct for the game, you cannot be expected to learn it or lead others towards excellence.

And as I recall, he only need 3 or 4 yards for the first down. Regardless of distance, I do know that the first down was there without doubt and he threw the ball away.

Did you give up on Jamie Howard after he totally tanked in the Auburn game? And he wasn't a redshirt freshman!

Come on guys, give the kid a break! This is the SEC, and we should've known that, with nothing more than a redshirt freshman, true freshman, or a Harvard transfer to lead the team, we were gonna be in trouble.

Am I disappointed that we didn't have a better season? Absolutely. Is that all JL's fault? Not by a long shot! Sure, we would have had a better chance without giving the other team all those pick-6s, but throw a little blame on our defense.

Things are looking brighter for LSU than they have in a while, so let's all get on board with that, and get off of JL.

Just sayin...

App. St. is when I knew he would suck. I never gave up on him though. I always hoped one of those passes would slip through a defender's hands ala McCray-Harvin and be a big play for us.
