I have two degrees from NLU, born and raised in Monroe and am glad that a few guys will still come to play in Malone Stadium.

How ULM can still employ Weatherbe(sp) is beyond me.

Best of luck to them.

ULM needs to go back to 1-A Subdivision and give recruits a reason to want to come there. Start competing for championships again and better recruits will come. They would also get better up and coming coaches through there that would not otherwise come to what is now a coaching graveyard.

Cameron Blakes picks up MVP honors.

One of the nations most underrated is Mr Blakes.

I've seen both Edwards and Newsome and they are big reaches for ULM in my opinion. Both are probably better suited to play at the I-AA level. Edwards needs to bulk up and Newsome only runs a 4.8...the Warhawks must be getting beat on their top targets.

ULM and Tech should recruit players from the Monroe and Shreveport area. If they did that they could compete year in and year out in the WAC and Sunbelt.

They need to recruit those areas for sure, but there's no way they could compete in their conferences by primarily focusing on north Louisiana. There aren't enough eligible players to go around in that part of the state and both need to branch out find quality.
