No Saints, no surprise.
All this means is that Benson doesn't have to pay any extra bonus money.

I wasn't expecting it but Brees should have been there (but for this Love Fest with Manning).

How can the A P name Brees Offensive Player of the Year and not put him on the All Pro Team?
Pretty damn stupid.

we didn't make the playoffs, it's that simple.

we make the playoffs, brees makes all pro team AND at least gets 1 MVP vote.

MVP vote

MVP is suppose to equate to the Most Valuable Player to his team.
It's damn near impossible to argue against the proposition that Brees was the MVP; the Saints had no defense, no running game, no kicking game, no true No. 1 receiver and still lead the league in scoring.

He carried this team on his back the whole damn season.

BTW...if "getting your team to the playoffs" is the barometer used for the MVP, then the A P really screwed up...I think that guy in Arizona named Warner is 2-0 and still in the game.

True, he threw too many INT's but he was leading or near the top in every other major category. The fact that he nearly broke Marino's record should have been enough. He threw 34 TD passes, tied for the league lead there as well. IMO, if the Saints had made the playoffs instead of being a mediocre 8-8, Brees would have been an easy choice. Show the man some love. He deserves it.

its sad that lance moore couldnt get the votes to get to the pro bowl, if there is newcomer of the year award i think he would get some votes.
